OVERVIEW

This privacy statement (“Statement”) applies to ESTAS Every Scar Tells A Story, a division of Storyline Beauty LLC (collectively, “ESTAS Every Scar Tells A Story,” “our,” “we,” or “us”). We developed this Statement to explain our practices regarding the personal information we collect from you or about you on this website. While this Statement broadly describes the practices we have adopted in the United States, local laws vary and some jurisdictions may place restrictions on our collection, use, or disclosure of personal information. Our actual practices in such jurisdictions may be more limited than those described in this Statement to comply with local requirements. Capitalized terms used in this Statement but not otherwise defined are used as defined in our Terms of Use.

By accessing or using our Site, or submitting information to us, or otherwise agreeing to this Statement, e.g. by agreeing to our Terms of Use, or in the context of purchasing any of our products or services, you understand and consent to our collection and use of your personal information as described herein.

  1. WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Generally, you will know what personally identifiable information we collect from you through the Site because you will actively provide the information to us through a form or otherwise. We do not collect social security numbers or other sensitive information except for payment information as necessary to accept payment for our products or services. We may collect the following personally identifiable information through the Site:

  1. Customers

In order to provide you with products or services, we require customers provide certain information. This includes customer name, company name, email address, and other information you may choose to provide such as but not limited to your shipping address and payment information.

  1. Web Technologies

In making our Site available, we collect personal information as described in Section 5 below.

  1. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to identify the parties with whom we are interacting and to provide products and services. We may also use the information for statistical and/or marketing purposes, to improve our technologies and services, to provide information about our company, and to deliver promotional information. These uses are intended to enhance your experience at the Site and enable us to present you content and services in which we think you might be interested.

We may add your information to our databases to contact you through future e-mails, postal mailings, telemarketing and SMS text-messaging regarding site updates, events, new products and services, and/or the status of orders placed online.

  1. HOW WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may also share personal information with certain third parties in other circumstances, including when complying with legal process, preventing fraud or imminent harm, and ensuring the security of our network and services. We may disclose personal information, as part of any merger, sale, transfer of company assets, or acquisition. We will take reasonable steps to assure that such information is treated in a manner consistent with this Statement.

When we use third parties to assist us in processing your personal information, we may request that they comply with this Statement and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures. However, we make no representation or warranty that such third party will so comply.

We do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. If we do share personal information in this way in the future, we will obtain your permission before doing so.

We reserve the right to release information to law enforcement or other governmental officials as we, in our sole and absolute discretion, deem necessary to comply with our legal obligation.

  1. USE OF WEB TECHNOLOGIES

Our Site uses a number of web technologies, including those described below, which help provide functionality to the site and provide information to us and our service providers. These technologies may collect personal information like your IP address over time and across different web sites.

  1. Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on the Site. We may link the information we store in cookies to personally identifiable information that you submit while on our Site. We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. A session ID cookie expires when a browser is closed. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. Persistent cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Site. You can remove the persistent cookies by following the directions provided in your internet browser’s “help” file. If you reject cookies, you may still use our Site, but your ability to use some areas of our Site will be limited. Our site is hosted by Shopify, for more information about the specific cookies placed on our storefront.

  1. Log Files

By default, our Site gathers information automatically and stores it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

We may use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the Site, to monitor traffic around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

  1. Clear Gifs

We employ a software technology called clear gifs (aka web beacons/web bugs), that helps us better manage the content on our Site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Site users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on website pages and are about the size of the period at the end of a sentence.

We also use clear gifts in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. If you would like to opt-out of these emails, please see the “Communications” section of this Statement below.

  1. DO NOT TRACK

When you use the Site, we may receive “do not track” requests from you, whether via signals from web browsers or other mechanisms. At this time, our Site does not respond to such “do not track” requests.

  1. SECURITY

When we ask for payment information, we protect it through the use of encryption during transmission, such as SSL (Secure Socket Layer). However, no method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure. Therefore, while we strive to protect personally identifiable information within industry standards, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

  1. CHILDREN

Our Site and Service are not intended for persons younger than 16 years old or the age of majority in their respective jurisdiction, whichever is older (“Children”). No information is knowingly collected or retained from Children, nor is any such information knowingly used for any marketing or promotional purposes whatsoever, either inside or outside the Site. No part of the Site is designed to target Children. Children are not eligible to use the Site and Children are prohibited from submitting any personal information to us or using the Site.

  1. COMMUNICATIONS

Based upon the personally identifiable information that you provide us, we will communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the products or services you request, and to manage your account.

We may send you messages via future e-mails, postal mailings, telemarketing and SMS text-messaging regarding site updates, events, new products and services, and/or the status of orders placed online.

By using our Site or Service you consent to such contact. You may opt-out of marketing communications from us by responding to any such email and asking that you be removed from our marketing contact list. You may not opt-out of communications from us with respect to providing you products and services such as receiving product invoices or shipping notifications.
